COMPOSItion

Writing and arranging music has always been a true passion of mine.
In addition to composing for my own live projects, I regularly create music and arrangements for other bands, ensembles, and artists – from tailored arrangements to complete original compositions. I also compose for film, with a strong focus on atmosphere and narrative.

Whether for stage, studio, or screen – I’m always open to exciting musical collaborations.
If you’re looking for a composition, arrangement, or creative partnership, feel free to get in touch!

BIG BAND Arranging

Here are some examples for my Big Band writing, appearing on the last release of Cubop City Big Band “El Inolvidable”. The CCBB (led by drummer Lucas van Merwijk) is probably the most prominent European Latin orchestra of the past three decades.

GLOBAL MUSIC ARRANGEMENTS

A significant part of my musical writing lives in the vibrant space between jazz and global music traditions.
This creative field allows me to explore and blend diverse styles – from the rich rhythmic heritage of Latin America and the raw emotional power of Romanian folk songs to the deep, infectious pulse of African groove music.

It’s in these cross-cultural dialogues that I find endless inspiration – discovering new colors, stories, and textures with each piece I compose and arrange.

POP MUSIC ARRANGEMENTS

Arrangement for “Schwarzer Hund” (2023) from ILLUTE and blblblblblblblblblb for other genres like Karneval music of Cologne, e.g. music for the last showdance of Sr. Tollität Luftflotte e.V.

FILM MUSIC

Occasionally I have been composing and producing music for documentaries & films such as “If life could be so beautiful” (2019) by Angelika Herta & Filip Jacobsen or “Sollte da ich und niemand sein” (2016) by Nele Jeromin.
